The struggle is real when you look at your wardrobe. Does there have to be a struggle though ? Or a lighter wallet every time you step out to shop .
Couple of knits and bolts tightened here and there and you’re good to go.
Roll the Sleeve
There’s a lot more to wearing a shirt right than you’d imagine. For starters the fit, yes very important. But there’s not much you can do about it once you have the shirt on.
There is one thing that can amp your game up.. ( DRUM ROLL ) Rolling up your sleeves.
Unbutton the cuffs and fully extend the sleeves.
Bend the sleeve at the cuff, curl it upwards and over itself till its inside out.
Straighten the top and bottom of the cuff. Make sure there are no creases.
Repeat to your desired length .
A lot you can do with them actually contrary to howsoever mundane they look.
As a general rule of thumb, match your socks with the colour of your trousers, and never with your shoes. For shorter guys, this enhances your silhouette, making you look taller.
We’ve all been there. I’ve been there !
The favourite black teeshirt with denims and chelsea boots. However.. give them some space to breather and stretch their lifespan. Leave a day between wearing your favourite brogues or tee .. this gives them enough time to absorb perspiration and dry thoroughly.
Confession time. Never been a fan of ironing.
Use a couple of ice cubes ( 2 – 3 ) . Throw them in the dryer on the hottest setting, with only a couple of shirts. And you have your wrinkle free shirts ready.
Swap your gel for moisturiser
Provided you’re not trying to look like Elvis, this works.
Neither does this strip your hair of its oils making it dry like the Sahara desert, nor does it make you look like Ross Geller from the 90’s.
Use a pea sized amount on your hair to shape your hair and keep it moisturised.
No more Stuart Little
If you notice your favourite crew neck looks more like a crop top that belongs to your girlfriend, try this out.
Fill a bucket of warm water and swirl in a tablespoon of hair conditioner for every litre of water used.
Merge your items in the water for 30 minutes.
Remove the items and gently wring dry them, do not rinse.
Place them on a bar or a towel, and stretch them back to their original shape ( or something close to it ) .
Snap it Save it
Whenever you find an article of clothing you like and fits you perfectly, take a shot of the label on your phone and save yourself the trouble of scouting for it again.
